Hi, I am Phil

I’m a UK-based wildlife photographer with a particular love for birds and the small details of the natural world. I spend much of my time observing and photographing behaviour — a moment before take-off, a glance, a shift in light. Alongside wildlife, I’m especially drawn to macro work, focusing on fungi and mushrooms, where texture, form and subtle colour often tell their own quiet story.

Photography came into my life in a deeply personal way. When my dad passed away in 2019, I inherited his camera gear but it wasn’t until April 2025 that I truly began exploring it for myself.

What started as curiosity gradually became connection, not just to nature but to him.
